Kid’s Hope USA
One child, one hour is the heart of KIDS HOPE USA. One caring adult mentoring an at-ris
k child one hour every week. Because when kids feel loved and valued, they are better able to learn, grow, and succeed.
Faith Lutheran is a member of KIDS HOPE USA, working in partnership with Cassidy Elementary School. We provide adult mentors who each meet with one student once a week during school hours at Cassidy.
Currently, Faith supplies 18 mentors. For each student-mentor pair, a prayer partner is matched from within our congregation.

Instrumentalists
Amateur and professional instrumentalists grace Faith’s services and special musical events throughout the year.
Cantors and Assisting Ministers
Cantors minister by proclaiming the word through chant and song at Sunday morning services and special services throughout the year. They enliven the liturgy and lead the assembly to engage more fully in word and sacrament through song.
The role of the Assisting Minister is also to engage the assembly in the liturgy, but they do so through the spoken word by proclaiming scripture and assisting the Presiding Minister at the font and table.
Cantors and Assisting Ministers both cultivate their ministries by meeting with their respective groups for monthly forums and individually during the week before they serve for personal coaching. The development of Faith’s worship leader formation program, facilitated by Joe Simmons, principal cantor of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in NYC, was featured in an article of The Lutheran magazine.
Grace Notes Handbell Choir
The Grace Notes express their faith and love of music by ringing handbells. They provide musical leadership on select Sundays and participate in community and state ringing events through the American Guild of English Handbell Ringers.
Children’s Choir and Youth Choir
The Children’s Choir (grades K-2) and Youth Choir (grades 3-6) are actively involved in Faith’s worship life, participating as worship leaders periodically throughout the year and presenting special musical programs. They meet on Wednesday evenings, Children’s Choir 6:15-7:00 p.m. and Youth Choir 7:00-7:45 p.m., not only to sing, but also to grow in their faith and understanding of music as a gift of God.
Adult Choir
Faith’s choir is an all-volunteer group that sings together out of a love for music and a desire to serve God. The choir rehearses on Thursday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. and provides worship leadership at most 11:00 Sunday services. They also participate in special musical events at Faith and in the community throughout the year.
